Delinquent or Late Returns

Over the more than twenty years of our U.S. income tax consulting and preparation we have very often had persons who had not filed past years U.S. tax returns come to us for assistance. In some cases, they were planning to purchase real estate in the U.S. found that the mortgage company, bank, etc. required copies of their past three years tax returns for their review in processing the loan application. In certain other cases, persons were applying for a U.S. Visa for their non-U.S. citizen spouse and found that they were required to furnish copies of their past three years tax returns to U.S. Government officials. The persons I speak of were distressed and very concerned about the amount of delinquent taxes and late filing penalties that would be due.

As a result of our many years of experience in dealing with matters concerning delinquent returns and non-filers, we have been very successful in eliminating delinquent taxes and penalties or at least kept them to a minimum.

A classic statement made to us by a person after we had helped with his very delinquent tax return filing was, I quote ... "I feel like a man who has just been cured of cancer."
