Profile of Jerry M. Taylor



U.S. Income Tax Consultant, Jerry M. Taylor, attended Ohio State University at Columbus, Ohio and graduated with a B.S. degree, major in accounting. Subsequently, he was employed for more than five years by the U.S. Treasury Department, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in Cleveland, Ohio as a Deputy Collector and Internal Revenue Agent where he became very familiar with IRS practices and procedures. He came to Japan in 1957 and was employed as an Internal Auditor for the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) United States Air Force (USAF) Auditor General at Tachikawa Air Base. His responsibilities included audits of USAF activities throughout Japan as well as in other Asian countries. In 1978 he founded the company Diversified Business Consultants, Ltd. (DBC Ltd.) in Japan. He has been a member of the American Chamber of Commerce, Japan (ACCJ) since 1977 and has and has continually served as a member of the Chamber's Taxation and Legislation (T&L) committee. His membership on that committee along with his past experience with the IRS has been a valued asset in serving his clientele in the Tokyo community and throughout Japan. He is also retained by clients in other foreign countries as well as some of his clients who have returned to the U.S..
